With this kit, students will explore the Environmental Literacy and Sustainability components of the STEELS Standards. Students will investigate water quality and contamination through a series of hands-on experiments. First, they will identify the characteristics of healthy water and propose recommendations for improving water quality. Then, students will test various methods to clean contaminated water, analyzing the effectiveness of each technique. This dual exploration will deepen their understanding of water as a critical resource and the importance of maintaining clean water for environmental and community health.
